冬天到雪山工作和滑雪是小妹工作假期To do List之一, 當然要做足功課。第一步是必須知道澳洲雪山在那兒! 小妹申請的工作集中在較有名的雪場, 因為我相信福利會較好, 幸運地一炮即中, 就沒有研究其他雪地的資料了, 所以只能介紹部份滑雪場。澳洲最多滑雪場的州, 依次是維多利亞州, 新南威爾士州和塔斯曼尼亞州。小妹的資料都是網上找的, 並沒有親身到訪過。

Falls Creek這是小妹將會工作的地方, 所以, 最多資料搜集! 稍後推出! 簡介是它離墨爾本約四小時車程, 適合初學到高級滑雪者。You can ski from the lodge straight to the ski lifts and slopes of the country’s best cross-country skiing at Falls Creek, 375-kilometre and about 4 hours drive from Melbourne.
Mt Hotham是維多利亞州最高的山, 它的面積雖然比Falls creek小, 但提供較多高難度的雪道如如雪道外滑雪等。 即使它有供初學者的雪道, 但還是比較適合有一定程度的滑雪者。它離墨爾本約五小時車程, 但有自己的機場, 有錢的話不用擠巴士了!
Victoria's highest ski resort. In northeast Victoria at the heart of the Great Alpine Road region, it offers Alpine skiing, snow boarding, dining, accommodation. There is off-piste skiing in narrow valleys as well as challenging cross-country. The nearest airport is at Hotham for those who wish to fly.
Mt Buller它離墨爾本小於三小時車程, 是較受歡迎的雪場!
Mt Buller, less than three hours from Melbourne, is probably the most popular of the Victoria ski resorts. The disadvantage is its popularity it gets quite crowded at the height of the ski season.
Mt Baw baw它是面積較小的雪場, 適合一家大小和初學者, 也有提供一條五公里的雪道給有一定程度的滑雪者。它離墨爾本只需約兩小時車程, 加上風景一流, 很適合短假期及一日遊。
The relatively small Mt Baw Baw resort, is said to be a popular destination for day-trippers and an ideal place to learn to ski. Close to Melbourne, it has a village atmosphere and a large number of club lodges.
Lake Mountain它離墨爾本最近, 不需兩小時車程。在維多利亞州十分受歡迎, 是小妹很想到訪的雪山之一。除了被譽為最佳越野滑雪區, 有名的還有滑雪學校和多樣好玩的雪道, 是滑雪新手的福地。學好基本功, 就可以挑戰高難度了, 它們更有滑雪定向, 好像很好玩呢!!
想享受家庭樂? 它多樣好玩的雪道當然可以滿足你和你的家人, 有些是十分適合小朋友玩的, 如toboggan slopes, snowshoeing and trail runs.
The closest to Melbourne, after Mt Donna Buang is Lake Mountain which is known as Australia's premier cross-country ski resort and the third most visited cross-country alpine resort in the world. Lake Mountain is some 120 kilometres from the heart of Melbourne and is reached through the town of Marysville.
This is a fantastic, beautiful alpine environment with trails that wind through snow gum woodlands. The resort and known as Australia's best Cross-Country skiing area. There are over 37 kilometres of trails and numerous toboggan runs. It is a top destination for the newbie's. The resort is well known for its excellent ski school and the seasoned advanced skiers are not left out.
Lake Mountain Alpine Resort offers a terrific amount of snow activities ranging from just enjoying the snow, sled rides, tube runs and tobogganing. It is a beginner paradise, but lots to do for the intermediate and advanced skiers. There is snow shoeing and ski orienteering. Ski Orienteering is a combination of cross-country skiing skills, map reading and GPS navigation. A great place to visit and enjoy.
Mt Buffalo
Mt Buffalo最接近維多利亞州和新南威爾士州交界, 離墨爾本約三個半小時車程。 旅客比較小, 和斜坡較平坦, 所以吸引初學人士,亦吸引一家大小的家庭出動。這是一個面積較小的雪場。
The closest to the Victoria-New South Wales border at Albury, through Wangaratta, is another area popular with families. Its slopes range from gentle, and ideal for beginner skiers, through to fun intermediate areas, with just a couple of advanced areas to keep skiers, including cross-country skiers, challenged.
它們全位於 Kosciuszko National Park內, 是澳洲最高的山群。最近的城鎮是Jindabyne, 很多雪山工作人員也住在這以方便上班, 應該可以認識很多朋友。這一區叫Snowy Mountains, 是澳洲最高的山群, 冬天可以滑雪, 夏天可以踏單車和騎馬, 所以是在澳洲是四季常旺的旅遊區。
以上是小妹暫時收集到的資料, 近期集中研究將要到訪的FALLS CREEK。 澳洲還有其他很多的雪山未了解和介紹。 如新南威爾士州的 Selywn Snowfields 和塔斯曼尼亞州的滑雪場在現階段還未研究, 日後會多多分享的!
